Gina Carano's voice was altered for the film, giving her character a deeper-sounding voice.

According to Gina Carano, originally in the fight sequence between her and Michael Fassbender, her character missed when she threw the vase, but when they were shooting Carano had an adrenaline rush and smashed the vase against Fassbender's head.

The very first and very last word of the movie are the same: "Shit." The hero says it at the beginning, and the arch-villain at the end.

Steven Soderbergh changed the plot of the movie while editing it, making Antonio Banderas's character a villain when he wasn't on the screenplay.

The copyright holder of this film is "Five Continents Imports." Five Continents Imports is a cover name for the CIA in the 1975 film Les 3 jours du condor (1975).

Dennis Quaid was cast but dropped out due to a scheduling conflict with Soul Surfer (2011). Bill Paxton replaced him.
