Founder of the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater in New York City.

Has been in two movies with Marlon Brando, both Westerns, 'The Appaloosa (1966)' and 'One-Eyed Jacks (1961)'.

Despite playing a handicapped character on "Guiding Light," she does not use a wheelchair in real life.

Lifetime Member of the Actors' Studio.

Was a close and dear friend of legendary Cuban singer La Lupe. When she passed away, Colon provided a sizable amount of the funds needed to purchase  her headstone.

She made guest appearances on both of the longest running prime time dramas in US television history: "Gunsmoke" (1955) and "New York - Police  judiciaire" (1990).
